The Opportunity

We’re launching a next-generation IaaS/Cloud Infrastructure platform and are in need of passionate, experienced and hands-on cloud infrastructure architects who can shape and provide operational direction over our public cloud platform and supporting our early growth. This position offers an opportunity to join with equity potential, and to work in an environment focused on high-performance, cutting-edge open source technologies surrounding cloud and GPU-accelerated computing.

Ideal Candidate

We’re searching for a well rounded candidate with expertise in operating large-scale distributed IT systems focused at providing IT infrastructure as a Service. This role establishes additional technical foundation for our platform, provides direction on platform growth and direction, accelerates growth while maximizing service quality and revenue and sets the foundation for our cloud platforms operations and growth over time.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and maintain OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure and Ceph storage platform

Evaluate existing infrastructure and systems to identify opportunites for performance or security improvements, or cost optimization.

Develop automation and enhance our existing infrastructure automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, OpenTofu, etc.

Write and maintain Python scripts for infrastructure automation and tooling

Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for consistent and error-free infrastructure deployment

Provide technical leadership and mentorship in cloud infrastructure best practices

Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection

Ensure compiance, high availability, scalability, and base security of cloud infrastructure

Collaborate closely with other internal teams to develop new services/offerings and nurture potential client opportunities.

Qualifications

Strong background in Linux systems design, implementation and administration

5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, systems engineer or similar roles

Expertise in OpenStack deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Nova, Neutron, Magnum, Ironic

Experience with Ceph in an OpenStack environment

Proficient in infrastructure automation using Ansible

Proficiency with Python and Shell scripting

Expertise using containers and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Proven experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies

Understanding of infrastructure security best practices

Standout Qualities

Experience using Kolla-Ansible for OpenStack
Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools
Knowledge of Veeam in a service provider environment
Experience with software-defined networking concepts
Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
Experience supporting Nvidia server GPUs with Linux / vGPUs
Contributions to open source projects
